    Question Newcomer looking for suggestions

From what I've heard, the main thing with the Formbot kits is that you have to do all the wire cutting and crimping yourself (also the documentation is ...meh...). Who makes the best, most complete kits?

    Question Newcomer looking for suggestions

I guess I can't edit my post... about Voron kits, looking at the LDO page for the V2.4, you get these extras with it: Hartk Toolhead PCB Heatset insert tool Input shaper toolkit All wires pre-cut and crimped LEDs Nevermore air filter parts (minus carbon pellets) Klicky bed leveling (in addition...

    Question Newcomer looking for suggestions

For printed parts, you can get away with a Stealthburner in PETG like I did on my KIipperized Prusa MK3S+ Bear. Not sure about the kinematic parts though. Can't comment on how difficult it is to build (yet) though. Shameless self-promotion here: I created an MMU for Klipper printers, the 3MS...

I want to retire my MK3s W/ MMU, How to MMU on a Switchwire...

I was in a similar position before, with a Stealthburner on my MK3S Bear. I ended up creating a custom depressor mount for the Filametrix, which cost me ~10mm on the X-axis. Personally, I don't care too much about build volume, but you could probably design a servo-actuated depressor. BTW, if...

    Required Tools for LDO 2.4

I purchased this square: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08QR3FG4W/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I drew some parallel lines on paper and it seems to be square enough.

    Required Tools for LDO 2.4

Thank you for your suggestions. Based on the information here, it looks like the LDO kit comes with a heat set insert tool and and an input shaper kit. I have zip ties on hand and can probably salvage some velcro straps from unused cables.

    Required Tools for LDO 2.4

Thank you for your help. I've ordered the following tools: Kapton Tape Machinist Square IR Thermometer Gun Precision Screwdriver Set (with non-ball-end hex bits) I have a 1.5Nm torque wrench for the Mosquito hotend on my Prusa, and I also have some needles for cleaning the nozzle.

    Required Tools for LDO 2.4

I have noticed some strength issues with my ball-end hex keys. I'll go ahead and buy non-ball-ended hex keys. Thank you for your reply.

    Suggestion: Serial Request -subforum

Do serial requests have to be submitted through Reddit, or can they be submitted through Discord? I don't have Reddit but would like be able to get a serial number for my future Voron build.

    Required Tools for LDO 2.4

Thank you for your reply. I think I'll go ahead and buy a machinist square since that looks like that's the main thing I need for this build that I don't have yet.

    Required Tools for LDO 2.4

I am looking into getting a Voron 2.4 350mm LDO kit, and am trying to get everything I need to assemble the kit before I spend $1500 on one. What tools do I need to build a 2.4 from the LDO kit? I found some other posts on various forums about this, but I couldn't find much specific to the LDO...

    Mains Wiring Safety

Thank you all for your replies. I think I'm going to learn basic electrical safety, then do what @claudermilk did and take detailed photos of my wiring before I turn it on.

    Mains Wiring Safety

I am looking into a 2.4 LDO kit (350mm), but I am concerned about the bed running off of mains voltage. I saw this while looking through the assembly manual and now I am even more worried. Do I have to be a "qualified personnel trained in local regulations and safety standards" to wire a...
