Frankly, I doubt that the extrusions or rails are warped unless the quality was horrendous to begin with. I would suspect that the build plate may be more of an issue than anything else. So many of these vendors talk about cast plates but in reality, I think they are just plate aluminum that...
@Optix1974 Are you aware of the snap latches for the side panels of the Voron? They are much, much better than the stock bolt-on retainers, and they can be downloaded in numerous sizes to account for different panel thicknesses.

Numerous online 3D printer stores have it on hand.

It was not that hard to get it running, but remember that the instructions don't cover the software side of the build. It will take me a little while to remember just what I did. The process for me to utilize the Orange Pi was an uphill climb, but I knew absolutely nothing about SBCs, Linux...
I have the Rapido in my 2.4. I only have a few hours of printing on it because I am trying to work out a few bugs in the config and macro files.
That being said, since I am utilizing an SSR for the bed heat, I then utilize the "bed heater" outputs on my Octopus for the Rapido. It was a...
I wish I had the STEP files for those. The single mount on the 5v PSU allows it to flop around like a wet noodle. Ok, maybe not that bad but I would like to make it wider for better support. I supposed I could just draw it up in SW.
@rocky.dibble I would agree. In light of what @Christian said above, I am planning on fabricating another aluminum plate out of the same material that will reside on the extrusions directly below the build plate. It will dimensionally be the same as the build plate, including the spacing of...
This is what I did for my bottom panel. I have access to .040" aluminum panel. I made this in my shop and polished it up when I was done.
Is it good or bad, I don't know, I haven't finished my printer yet. I do know that it will not warp ;)
@LoadMaster7 That one you have on order is the latest and greatest, according to Kris, so you should be ready to go once you receive it.
Ahhh, You have been around some good 'ole birds!
It sounds like you had an awesome career. I am somewhat of a gearhead so I can appreciate your work!
@LoadMaster7 So, I called my favorite vendor (KB3D) and talked to Kris for a bit regarding the Canbus. Apparently, there have been issues regarding the Canbus hardware on the tool head with a higher-than-normal failure rate. The Canbus tool head is currently being reworked slightly, and...
According to the most recent documentation (referenced in @staticanime's post), you do not need (nor want) to connect the Canbus to the Rpi. It should be connected to the Octopus directly and the updated firmware installed.
I am at this point in my new Voron 2.4r build, so I hope to have the...
West3D has a pretty decent video on setting up a Canbus. You can find the video here on YouTube.
It was because of their quality videos that I made a purchase with them (Rapido).
Edit: Check out the information section directly below the video. Allen has several helpful links there.
For those of you that have the Rapido, there is a recommendation on LDO's site to utilize the bed heat for the hotend due to the high initial current draw of the Rapido. Do you guys follow that recommendation? I have the Formbot kit, but I assume it is the same, although I use a two-piece tool...
