Poor Quality Print on Corners and sharp shapes

Double-checked ALL gantry connections. Nothing seems to be loose or wobbly and I torqued them down just to be sure. I was going through the tuning when I came across this issue. It is so severe I halted tuning to try and resolve this (or at least make it significantly better). Any...

Poor Quality Print on Corners and sharp shapes

I am printing with ABS, not PLA (thus the high temps).

Poor Quality Print on Corners and sharp shapes

I finished a 2.4 350mm build awhile ago, but then had other matters come up that stopped me from completing the tuning. I have now returned to the project and spent significant time trying to tune the printer for acceptable prints and have run out of ideas. I could really use the help of this...

    Z1 Stepper lagging

Well it turned out be my own stupidity! I tested the steppers and switched drivers around and it made no difference. I started looking closer at the config file as I had recently changed from Octoprint to Mainsail. Somehow I had disabled the Z1 motor! Once it was enabled it worked as...

    Z1 Stepper lagging

I agree, I don't know how a stepper motor may "lag" the others (thus why I am checking with this group!) Anyway, taking measurements it looks like the others move 25mm but Z1 only moves 17mm and skews the gantry. If and move another 25mm in the same direction then it moves 25mm, but maintains...

    Z1 Stepper lagging

I have a self-sourced Voron 2.4 build. When I move the Z axis, motors Z0, Z2, and Z3 all seem to move together. Z1 seems to take a moment to start moving and pulls the gantry out of alignment. Anyone seen this before or have an idea of what the problem might be? Could it be a bad stepper...
