When i had this it was due to the high infill width which many people use.
I think the default on ellis's profile is 180%, which is great as it reduces the total print time by doing more infill per pass. however it depends on the nozzle you are using. I had swapped to a tungsten carbide nozzle...
I ground my frames. You scrape some of the anodised coating off and can attach that way. As your frame is connected to an unanodised section via the fasteners on each corner they should all be connected.
mainly for the full functionality for WLED which you cant really get from just klipper and a data pin. and depending how many led's you want to run the data pin may not be able to provide enough power.
