Just FYI the kernel in the above RPi OS image does not have the CAN BUS to USB kernel modules compiled, if you need that let me know I have successfully compiled the kernel with the required modules.

I highly recommend go with some sort klicky probe.

The Omron inductive should be able to slide up if you are using the 3D printed X carriage for the CW1. If you are using the injection molded parts you get from Formbot or off of Aliexpress there is not adjustment and will not work.

It does, I am not currently running a hub, but I have some from amazon I like on the way. I also plan on design a mounting system for the surface etc as soon as I get the other 4 I have on order in.

If it has been updated you just reinstall back to factory image or wipe the EMMC.

I built mine from a formbot kit about a year or so ago. Had to replace a few small parts so far, but I probably have 500+ hrs of print time on it.

I second thhe Fabreeko (tm) Honeybadger PEI sheets, I have used a lot of PEI over the years and these are the best, no warping, doesn't need any adhesion help etc.
