it's just a "coin" with angled edges on the top. That's either the top perimeters sunken in or the ironing pushing filament outward.
I'm thinking it's the later.
Sorry about the image quality, this is supposed to come out like a dome, but it's looking more like something else.
What's wrong with my print settings?
STL:
My Print:
I've attached the settings, if anyone cares to look. I could also take screenshots if that would be easier.
My Z-idlers were cracked. One was split. must've been too tight. I printed some resin replacements. Hopefully that resolves the issue but I'll have to make others just in case resin fails in high heat.
Was just having this problem for HOURS.
I realized that I didn't thread-lock the x-rail. I tightened those and my print started...
-edit-
Was wrong. Still doing it....
Thanks. This is what I told myself I'd do the last time this happened. Got too caught up in the TPU project.
And once I started to gain momentum with that, I started printing mods for my simracing rig....
Actually asking someone who's helped me in the past to print parts for me...
Finished printing TPU on the rough side of my spring sheet to keep from damaging my PEI and forgot to reset my z height adjustment-.1mm and woke up to my wife telling me that she paused my print (bless that woman) because it was being engulfed in filament. Now I’m using my soldering iron’s chise...
Yeah! i've been noticing that. On my last print (a print that took 3 times longer for the problem to happen) I actually increased my measured rotational distance by 20mm to keep the filament from feeding in excess (I'm sure you know how that worked out).
I have an idea that might work for...
The feed hole from the filament to the mount did like the friction... a residue there was a residue buildup keeping the filament from flowing....
I bore a hole through with a slightly larger drill bit (no size markings on it, unfortunately). I will have to redesign the mount, But I'm still...
OK sorry for the delay. the new motor came with the wrong connectors. I tried to make them work but it was too much work. got the right cables (i've damaged the connectors trying to recrimp before). and everything's working. I am calibrating the feed now
