Marcel Hofstra

Hi, I was born and raised in the netherlands.
My dad was one of those early do it yourself kinda guy and was an electronics professional.
He taught me electronics at a young age and had my first computer when I was 5.

Early in life I made my own custom PCBs with nothing more than a pencil, paper, UV light source, and chemicals on the gas stove.

I designed various projects throughout my life and built a lot of custom computers.

Recently I got interested in building a voron, but a custom one.
I have no real use for a fancy printer other than designing printer parts, so I am going slow but steady starting off with cad design. A big problem that came to my attention is that open source is a mess. Drawings not complete or just missing in action waiting for release.

My goal is to use my IT and Electronics background to continue from the base design and make a custom printer to inspire people to go into designing.
