Changed the steps and rotation distance to 200/40, it helped!

the motors if that s what you meant don t have part numbers on them and i lost the invoice... i bought these a few years back for a small cnc i built for someone , (the cnc was only used for about an hour, i just "recycled" 3 rails and 4 motors from it.
I use 2 of the motors for the a/b here ...

so the drivers are the MKS TMC2209 V2.0 from Makerbase. All drivers are the same.If it helps, i can remove one and see if there s something else written on them
The pulleys i use have 20 teeth/pulley not 40. could this be it?

asked someone home to do it now. changed it to 500 .no change in the way the machine behaves, the gantry still gets stuck at 255 test
i think i got overexcited thinking this could be it.

if i try anything over 250, even 255, i get massive skipping, not even sure if i can call it that, the entire gantry gets stuck in place when moving diagonally after a couple of cm of movement. i would expect...
