    Goldie - the 350 Voron 2.4 R2 Fysetc kit

Input shaping. Looks ok. The X-axis has two parts that I will later dig into. The "small bump" before the top and then the "edge" right before it smooths out. The Y-axis is outstanding. I followed the recommended shaper profiles and set max acceleration to 5300. Ellis tuning guide, was...

    Goldie - the 350 Voron 2.4 R2 Fysetc kit

Ok, CAN problems! As soon as I start probing, either when doing Z-homing, QGL or Bed mesh probing I get an error: "Communication timeout during homing probe" Checked the cabeling, checked the termination resistance, checked all the CAN related stuff. Nothing. Started to google around a lot and...

    Goldie - the 350 Voron 2.4 R2 Fysetc kit

Ok, so as the Toolhead board was delaying the project, Goldie just sat on the bench without any attention until New Year. I then had to update the computer and Spider Board with newer versions of Klipper. Found an oddie, that CANBoot didn't put the board in boot mode, I couldn't understand why...

    Goldie - the 350 Voron 2.4 R2 Fysetc kit

The CAN bus toolhead is on its way, but seems to end up around May 12-17, so I had to change my plans. Installed the Toolhead PCB and the cable in a umbilical setup, running through the vent in the rear. So did the last part of the initial startup - rotation distance and attached the panels and...

    wave bed mesh

This is my bed. Bed at 100C, for around 20 min before bed level. EDIT: Oh, without any panels...

    Goldie - the 350 Voron 2.4 R2 Fysetc kit

Fysetc has reconised the error and is sending me the Toolhead board. However, Aliexpress says it still not sent... damn, I haven't installed the umbilical chain as I intend to put the CANBUS cable differently so I am hesitating to continue with the first test print. So instead I have finalised...

    wave bed mesh

Yes, that was my thought too... either it is a very tiny airpocket or irregularity in magnetic sheet. Because the irregularity is so strange. Like, not the edges but a top in one spot. Will see if I can take a picture when at home to show.

    wave bed mesh

Haha... that looks a lot like mine. :) But I have around 0.1 in flatness though. Did several mesh measurements starting with different bed temperatures from room temprature to 100C and it had basically the same shape. Didn't change much. As it stays around 0.08-0.1 and next step in my...

My V2 and Bamboo lab X1 Carbon

Ok, interesting. But you don't have any connector in between the printer space and outside, instead the cable is running straight through and down to the electronics bay? I was thinking if I should attach a connector for the cableing inside so it is easy to remove and re-attach when ever that is...

My V2 and Bamboo lab X1 Carbon

I am curious on how you have wired the cable. I will not use the cable chain on my X-Y axis and want a nice solution so the CANbus cable can move freely but controlled. :) How have you done?

    Goldie - the 350 Voron 2.4 R2 Fysetc kit

Fired up Fusion360 and created this simple bracket that mounts on top of the pcb din clip from the Voron STLs. And this is how it was fitted in on the printer.

    Goldie - the 350 Voron 2.4 R2 Fysetc kit

Yes! A package arrived in the mail. 🥳 but noooo, they missed to include the toolhead in the package. 😪 But no shame on Fysetc. Actually I start to like them. As said before, I get the feeling they want to be perceived as a serious player and feel they start to live up to it. Remember...

Issues with PT1000 after moving to EBB36

It should work but as far as I understand the PT1000 has an internal resistance at 1k at 0C and in the charts I have seen around 1.3 k at 250-300C so you will loose some resolution using the usual onboard 4.7k pullup.
