TAP Sensor Wiring on an SB2040

Yes you can. If your board can take 24V, then you can put all 3 wires into the HV in port on the SB2040

Manta M8P with a CM4 using PITFT50. Does it work?

Howdy ;) according to their manual, the cm4 needs some additional configuration " 4.4.2 DSI1 Display Interface The default display interface is HDMI. The onboard DSI port of MANTA M8P uses the DSI1 interface. You need to download the DSI1 driver and enter the following sentence in the command...

TAP Sensor Wiring on an SB2040

but you did change the pin to GPIO25 right?

TAP Sensor Wiring on an SB2040

Doesnt work as in? Just doesnt trigger? There shouldnt be a difference in terms of usage.

TAP Sensor Wiring on an SB2040

Howdy ;) where is each wire going? Like the picture in the beginning of the thread? gpio25 is correct so it should work this way. You said that the led is lit. Does that change when the probe activates?

TAP Sensor Wiring on an SB2040

Dont connect the TAP sensor wire to GPIO 28 or 29. Only 25 as that has a diode protecting the rp2040. Gpio 28 and 29 dont have that so it will fry your rp2040 chip on the sb2040

TAP Sensor Wiring on an SB2040

yeah. its the same for me. it does fit. Im a function over looks guy so i just cut the side part of the CW2 housing off :D

TAP Sensor Wiring on an SB2040

You plug it in beforehand then you Insert the pcb and tighten the screws. Its a little tight

TAP Sensor Wiring on an SB2040

The TAP sensors have a 5V signal, the MCU on the sb2040 can only handle 3.3V signal thus damaging it. The HV endstop has a diode between the mcu and the port, protecting it from 5V. normal endstop doesnt.

    EBB36 vs SB2040

HV Endstop: notice the red circled diode Normal Endstop: no diodes

    EBB36 vs SB2040

The Endstops may have 5V available but the GPIO pins on the RP2040 can't handle 5V. An RP2040 (as on the SB2040) does not have that. Thats why it has an HV endstop which has a diode installed.

    TAP Possible with SwitchWire?

Does your bed move up and down if you push down on it with 600-700g? If yes, TAP is not for you. Hence 1.8, Legacy and Switchwire are not compatible.
