I'm planning to build a Voron 2.4 with a 820mm build volume. Which parts need to be modified or upgraded to ensure the printer functions properly?

Literally everything. The reference design is not intended to be made that big.

Have a look at the venture XL kit or wait for the voron phoenix to be released.

You will need:

• longer extrusions
• way longer belts
• bigger panels
• bigger print bed
  • and the proper heating element for it

That's from the top of my head, there may be more but the printed parts themselves doesn't need any change. At this size you may want to consider an AWD gantry mod, which basically cut the belt length in half, as well as using 9mm belts for increased rigidity/belt stretching resistance. The Monolith Gantry is an advanced mod but it should make a printer that big possible.
