PTFE coupler issue with StealthBurner + Orbiter 2.0 + EBB 36

I’m trying to build a toolhead with Stealthburner + Orbiter 2.0 + EBB 36 based on the user mod Orbiter 2.0 Stealthburner mount with CW2 shroud, PCB and EBB36 Support from elcrni.

I’ve most of the things figured out. However, the PTFE (4mm) coupler on the top of the assembly has me stumped. I disconnected the PTFE coupler and clip from the Orbiter 2.0. I’m trying to insert in the hole on the top. I've tried nose pliers and tweezers to push it in. No matter how hard I try it does not go in.

Is there any tip/trick to get this coupler in?
What if I don’t use the coupler?

This is my first build so still trying to find my way around. The rest of the Trident 350 assembly is in place and toolhead is the last one left.

The images of the step file showing the coupler and my assembly is attached. The dotted red circle shows the PTFE coupler as per original design.

Take out the orange locking clip. Then firmly (and I mean FIRMLY) press it in. Make sure it's as straight as you can keep it. You can remove the front cover with the fans and just deal with the extruder part to make it a bit easier. I only attach the front last anyway.

I disassembled everything till I had only the printed part with hole on top. I wrestled with it and even greased it with a silicon grease. Nothing worked. I had a look at corresponding hole on the Orbiter 2.0. It looked much larger than the the one on the printed part. I'm not sure whether it's the right solution. I've widened the hole by scraping it with increasing size of screw driver bits till I was able to push the coupler in.
Time will tell!
