This might seem like a silly question for anyone deeper involved,

but i've been looking into Voron 2.4 components for a while now
and I just wanted confirmation, that if I go forward with ordering and building in a few months,
there wont be a complete overhaul or much newer release version
moments after I would be finished building.

So maybe someone involved into or observant of the development progress could provide insight, whether or not there is a new major release planned in 2025
and it would be smarter for me to wait a bit?

We can't answer you because we simply don't know. Historically those kind of releases are always made as a surprise, especially when it is RCF who's leading the project. There were some efforts to change that and provide some ETA for projects, like the upcoming VORON Phoenix and VORON Cascade, but both are already past the original release timeframe because Real Life Happens™ and the people who voluntarily participate on them couldn't make it.

That being said, you have no need to be afraid. Even if the mythical V2.5 is released while you are building your V2.4, it is part of the VORON design ethos to always provide an upgrade path.
