There are a ton of opinions on grease, and most of them are just opinions. We have lots of data that EP2 works well in printers with lower chamber temps, but we also know that if you get above about 60 degrees C, then EP2 will fail prematurely. One of the Voron Crew members who runs a print...
Hi, Jared! Welcome to Voron! If you have any questions since you are such a noob, please let us know and we will tell you the basics like, "What is plastic?", or "why is the pointy thing getting hot?" :)
There is a Legacy specific mount in the Klicky repository. That’s what I have on my Legacy build now. I haven’t finished setting up the software, but that’s the route that I’m taking.
I have a fried bed thermistor. I mounted another thermistor to the plate and am using that for bed temp feedback for now. There seems to be an issue with the wire somewhere, but I’m not sure where. My guess is that it’s right by the rear center mounting hole. The wires are cramped, and wish...
Update: Booberry crunch is currently at a friend's house who is checking it out since his Ender died a miraculous death by, um, being an Ender. He is now considering building a Voron Trident, but is amazed by what a "real" printer can accomplish.
Vince, as far as the “Official Truth according to Voron“ exists, it’s at https://docs.vorondesign.com/. That way there is a single repository for information that we can point to from any platform. If you think that they are areas that need to be added, please let us know! User contributed...
The original ones were indeed microfit 3.0 connectors. The last link that you has were indeed the mating connectors. As for extraction tools, well, um, they are all pretty terrible. The only ines I’ve heard of that work well are the Molex ones. I, personally, haven’t had good luck with any of...
I think about it this way: if it sticks to the panels, it’s not in the air that I’m breathing. It more has to do with temperatures and the evaporation of styrene. It’s like condensation on a glass—not much you can do about that physics. So the styrene will get on stuff regardless of what...
As a chemist (Yes, I’m actually a chemist with a PhD in inorganic chemistry), I can confirm that your statement that molecules are attracted to each other is indeed correct! In this case, styrene is attracted to acrylic, and windows get sticky.
What happens is that styrene that gets released...
I did that on my 2.4x350, and I don’t love it. I wish I had a better reason than “I just don’t like it”, but I don’t. But I agree, it works perfectly well!
Its pretty minor, but the can cables can wrap around rhe z cable chain. The fix is piano wire to give the wires some rigidity, but that’s not a big deal.
