I am retired so, yes, I have the time. One thing I am looking at is how heavy the toolhead is on my Voron vs the X1C. Am I going to have to make a bunch of changes to the 2.4r2 to make it that good?
The relevant parts are: G2E, Stealthburner, Mosquito HE, hardened nozzle, CNC metal XY Gantry...
I have a Voron 2.4R2 300mm that I have used for about 4 years now. After seeing the results coming out of Bambu printers I recently bought a X1C also. I am amazed at the print quality from the Bambu. The fact that I can print on the Bambu at .2 layer height and come out with a print where one...
According to this:
https://buildbotics.com/wiring-stepper-motors/
Once you have identified the coils, just wire it up and see if it turns in reverse, if so, you can swap the wires of ONE coil around to make it turn correctly.
I am having a devil of a time fixing my extruder wiring.
I need some general knowledge about stepper wiring.
I refer to:
Lets call coil A-black/C-Orange 51 and lets call coil B-Red-D-Blue 52 because that is what the pins on my Khart PCB are called.
Q1. If I were to use the correct coil...
This is a 30mm voron test cube printing in hatchbox black PLA. All the other faces are perfect except this one. I can't figure out what is going on. I have printed this with ABS and 2 different PLA filaments. The artifacts did not appear in the ABS print but do appear in both PLA prints...
First, thank you for your response.
Can't I just plug it into the 2nd USB port on the PI? My Pi has 2 ports, one of which is controlling the Printer board.
I can find nowhere where it says to connect the cartographer3d usb to raspberry pi. I can't imagine where else it would connect to unless some printer boards have USBs on them. So before I order all the stuff to do it, I need confirmation that connecting cartographer3d usb to raspberry pi is...
I have searched but can't find any reference to running usb through cable chains. Is it doable and reliable? I currently run stealthburner + tap through cable chains and I'd rather stay with cable chains than add an umbilical into the mix. Anybody know if this is doable?
SevenB: that was excellent advice. Using continuity I confirmed that my wiring up top was correct. So I check the order on the plug going to the Sypder and it was not correct. Swapped a couple of pins and the extruder now works perfectly. Off to calibrate; I'll soon be printing again. Woot...
I am having a devil of a time trying to get this extruder motor going.
My assumption with this motor is that coil pairings are colors next to each other coming off the motor. The problem is the wiring diagram for the motor (any that I can find) do not have my wire colors so I am guessing...
One more thing. I see little rectangle pieces made to clamp onto the front side of where the A/B belts come through into the tap mount. Does anyone know what screw goes there? It can't be a socket head as that would take up too much room and prevent tap vertical movement. It seems like an M3...
Voron 2.4r, CW2, Stealthburner, Tap.
See above. The right is a replacement I printed a while ago when I feared my tap was about to lose hold on the A/B belts. Now I am rebuilding tap using it.
I direct your attention to the mid line of the print horizontally where the left has flat heads and...
