I can find nowhere where it says to connect the cartographer3d usb to raspberry pi. I can't imagine where else it would connect to unless some printer boards have USBs on them. So before I order all the stuff to do it, I need confirmation that connecting cartographer3d usb to raspberry pi is what is intended and that all the software configuration shown on the cartographer3d site works with that setup. Can anyone confirm that is the case?

Yes, you just need a USB-A to JST-PH cable for hardware connection.
Then on your RBpi run firmware update script. (firmware.py)
This process not only allows you to flash the correct firmware but also configures your device’s operational mode. Ensure that you have the required firmware files and the proper bootloader installed on your Pi (which come pre-downloaded if you have cloned the repository).

First, thank you for your response.

Can't I just plug it into the 2nd USB port on the PI? My Pi has 2 ports, one of which is controlling the Printer board.
