For me it turned out to be that the probe mount on the toolhead had come loose a little bit, but i am using klicky so there is physical contact with the bed, hence my z offset drifting up and up. Since you are using the stock probe there is no actual contact with the bed, my guess is your probe...

Thanks, i do believe mine are non genuine Gates. I have been able to do a couple of prints since. I have to print me some replacement parts first. I have new Z belts coming so when im swapping those out i will keep this and @NoGuru's pointers in mind. Thank you guys!

they use two screws in the front to tension the belt, so getting them level is tricky.

to be fair is has been pretty warm here over the last couple of weeks. But i never had overheating issues before i used the BFI's. Like i said i upped the cooling and used less aggresive profile. It did seems to get further in the print that way. Maybe it just needs to cool down, and so do i 😁...

@NoGuru running with the stock Orca v2 profile and my controller fan set to 75% the print still failed, only later on in the print. That could mean that something is rubbing and overheating stuff could it not?

Thanks for your input, if i continu to have the shifts i might look into that. For now, as the issue started with the BFI's I am more inclined to suspect a mechanical issue. I just can't pinpoint it.

Hey NoGuru, they are LDO-42STH48-2004mah running @ 0.8a on TMC2209 (Octopus v1.1) I wlll try to print the part i have had issues with so far with the stock Orca V2.4 profile and report back. That should work should it not?

So, just to keep everything nice and clean, this is resolved by using different START gcode. Anyone facing similar issues should check their STARTcode.

yeah, i did not like the closed nature of the Bambu, but my biggest gripe was the max z height, i really need a minimum of 300mm in Z. I have been spoiled with my X1 sidewinder in that regard.

i agree, i could not see this being a slicer thing. But it is driving me nuts. And to be honest i dont want to leave it like this either. This does not sit good with me, spent a lot of time building the machine precise, and this behaviour is anything but precise. I am really bad at Gcode...
