you can find cheap RPi cam on ali as well. advantage of RPi camera is the speed, much faster, very good for livestream.

I have seen the same issue with other cameras like the pro 9000 and C525, so I am afraid it is your RPi. But you have a specific slot for RPi cameras, so I would get a cheap RPi camera and print your own mount :)

It is a known issue. The combination of this webcam and Rpi gives problems. You have to use a modified bootcode on a SD card. Then booting from the SD card. I am still new here, so I will be careful with sharing links. But you will find the modified bootcode on github.
