ABS/ASA Part Replacement Material

Is there a recommended replacement material for ABS/ASA for Voron Parts?

I do not have a well ventilated place for printing ABS/ASA. Therefore, I am looking for a replacement material for making Voron parts. Would polycarbonate be a good replacement for ABS/ASA?

No. ABS/ASA is the recommended material.
If you are unable to print ABS/ASA there is always the Print It Forward resource.

What exactly are you needing printed?

I am looking into what it takes to build a Voron D0, so I do not need anything printed at this time. Thank you for asking.

I am disappointed there is not an acceptable substitute for ABS/ASA, since my printer lives in the basement which does not have windows for ventilation.

Truth be told, no thermoplastic is safe on non-ventilated spaces, even PLA. If you still want a Voron and can't print ABS/ASA, you can either enter the Print It Forward (PIF) queue or buy from the commercial PIF: https://forum.vorondesign.com/threads/voron-commercial-pif-cpif.262/ https://www.fabreeko.com/collections/printed-parts-by-pif

The recommended materials advice is given because of the physical results provided by available materials. It's not people trying to be difficult, it's just the actual behavior of the filaments that are out there and available

Thank you for the reply.

I currently have a printer that can print ABS/ASA, but ventilation is the main concern. Therefore, Print it Forward would not work simply because I cannot print ABS/ASA in the future (print it forward) due to ventilation problems.

Also, commercial places do not offer printed parts for the D0.

Again, I am looking at my options as I believe the D0 is where it is at for fast printing once slicers support different layer heights per tool head (extruder) as shown here.
