CanBus upgrade

Hello there,

I am looking to purchase a canbus board for my stealth burner. I specifically want to go with BTT EBB SB2209 (RP2040). I see many people add the BTT U2C module to connected the canbus boards to the RPi direclty. I would prefer to connect the board to my octopus controller instead. Is it possible with this CanBus board? And are there any big disadvantages in going that way?

I have the very same BTT EBB SB2209 (RP2040) connected to my BTT Octopus without any issues.
