LDO Tap Probe on LDO Orbitool no lights (5v)

I have the Optotap 2.4.1 in my kit, connected to the BLTouch port of the Orbitool O2, using pin 1(gnd/black wire), pin 2(+5v/red wire), and pin3(PA15/blue wire). Checked the output of pin 1,2 and there is indeed 5v but still get no light on the Optotap. Saw on the Optotap site there is a trace on the back, does it need to be cut and soldered across the 5v trace in order to operate at 5v or is automatic?
