Hi,

when building the X Axis on my Trident (Tridex) Build i have a amount of play for my GT2 20T Pulley. The Build is self sourced and when i compare the Pulley with my 2.4 (LDO Kit), they are slightly thinner. Now i do not know what to do. Is this normal? Should i place 2 Washer in between or should i look for larger Pulley. Also when i take a look at the Trident Build Manual, it seems to me there is some play too.

When I built mine, I went with Nero's advice and ditched those toothed idlers. I made another bearing stack as the idler, which uses shims top and bottom. Lines everything up nicely. So you could put another pair of shims in there, or just let it float.
