Solved Start print sequence

Ho-whizzle

Well-known member
hello and apologies for the silly question but it has been a while since I changed klipper so i am rusty.

I have erased and flashed a new klipper from scratch and every is good except the strange start up sequence when it start a print. The current suequence is as follows PLA:
- Heats bed to 60 degree
- Heats nozzle to 220 degree
- Homes X and Y then move to center
- Message Ëxtruder temperature target of 220 degree is too high, lowering to 150 degree
- Nozzle temp lows to 150 degree then homes Z
- Z-tilt (Because it is a trident)
- Homes Z again
- Soaks for 5mins
- Heats nozzle to 150 degrees again
- Does adaptive mesh
- Heats nozzle to 220 degree
- Starts print

So my questions are as followings:

1. How can I ask the printer NOT to heat the nozzle to 220 before homing XY and Z?
2. Can I adjust the soak time to be short or longer?

Your print_start looks ok to me. Check your slicer machine start g-code to make sure it isn't sending a nozzle temp command. I have M104 S0 and M140 S0 in mine (notes say I got this as a suggestion from the Ellis guide to prevent this exact scenario).
