24V tap pcb is under investigation for reported problems, initial reports point to a knockoff component that is specific to 24V pcbs. lab4450 are known for using genuine and well soldered parts so that might explain why yours works
Since you are using bat85 diode, you can connect it to any endstop port, and yes you can just move it from z MCU to main MCU.
Bat85 is there to protect the MCU from a probe failed in closed state with unexpectedly high voltage
Those two are not really comparable, Revo isn’t a HF hotend. Rapido is HF but doesn’t suffer from oozing and clogs like other HFs. I would always vote for Rapido.
