Things changed dramatically on my end after I made two mods, GE5C and TAP. Now, I typically have two passes with about three taps per probe. The only issue remaining is that occasionally, a tap pauses in the down position for an inexplicable second.

I can confirm this. I have added this mod and now things do look totally different. I do not have the "exceed tolerances" error and the passes are reduced, too. Additionally, I have added TAP.

I am now getting much better results. I have performed QGL, loosened the Z joints, and retightened. Now the gantry does not visibly drop when disabling the motors. Later I am going for the solution with the GE5C bearings.

The strange thing is, that from the start I had the originally supplied inductive attached. Once I saw these issues I installed the klicky PCB probe, experiencing the same results. I then switched back to the inductive one. Then I changed the raspberry pi3b to a raspberry pi4B4G, thinking that...

The problem was solved by adding [extruder] smooth_time: 1 I am sure that this is just covering symptoms of something deeper. I anyhow plan to do a can-bus conversion and hope to fight different problems.

I finished yesterday my Voron 2.4 350. I connected TOOLHEAD PCB (HE0 V+) 24V, to HE0+ of Octopus. The TOOLHEAD PCB (PSU V-) GND I connected to V- of PSU. The PE PSU (green/yellow) has probably a connection to GND of all of the electronics, though I would never mix up primary and secondary wirings.

Is this still true. The official klipper doku states different, a the mcu seems not consume the can bus bandwidth.
