    FYSETC 2.4 R2 Pro + CNC upgrade

FYSETC never bothered replying to my email, after much searching online couldn't find a solution to the umbilical mount, so designed my own using TinkerCAD, not very elegant but functional. Finishing the electrics found all 6 of motor wiring looms had pin 2 & 3 reversed on motor plug, that's 8...

    FYSETC 2.4 R2 Pro + CNC upgrade

Have reached a bit of an impasse; this kit is sold as umbilical version with parts to suit, however the CAN plug on SB passes over the umbilical mount making it impossible to use an umbilical. I've emailed FYSETC but have yet to receive a reply.

    FYSETC 2.4 R2 Pro + CNC upgrade

It's not on the actual Spider the note is on the above pic of Sailfish at the bottom referring to needing a "AD597 add on"? Just completed putting the Stealthburner together, tough job trying to (gently) squeeze the wires in, plus discovered that the plugs for filament feed motor and the RBG...

    FYSETC 2.4 R2 Pro + CNC upgrade

Assembling the Stealthburner I'm slightly confused by a cryptic note on Spider wiring diagram "Need AD597 add on", plus came across a build thread where the author intends to use an external thermistor with special mount on the hinged cable cover for one...

    FYSETC 2.4 R2 Pro + CNC upgrade

Thanx for the motivational speech! My main hobby is RC Helicopters, so building a printer is pretty much the same, belts & pulleys, electric motors, setting up electronics, accurate alignment etc. I do have a multi meter and know my way around basic electronics, what I wasn't aware of, and where...

    FYSETC 2.4 R2 Pro + CNC upgrade

Actually there is! Guy on FB pointed me to this: https://github.com/FYSETC/FYSETC-VORON-2.4-R2-Pro/tree/main/STLs/Gantry/X_Axis/X_Carriage/Voron-Stealthburner

    FYSETC 2.4 R2 Pro + CNC upgrade

Stealthburner; here I need help as FYSETC don't appear to do a manual specific to their version, and as there are numerous revisions/options I'm confused as to what parts I do/don't need to print off, anyone advise please?

    FYSETC 2.4 R2 Pro + CNC upgrade

Coming along nicely, taking my time to enjoy the build, and putting off the day I have to deal with the electronics… First off thanks to “claytono” for designing these brilliant little jigs to clamp the extrusions firmly in place when assembling the frame, I printed 4 off @ 98% making them a...

    FYSETC 2.4 R2 Pro + CNC upgrade

"Build your own 3D printer!" Yeah I can do that. Hmmm time for a reality check: Physically build the thing? Confidence is high. Wire up the electronics without a) blowing something or b) electrocuting myself? Confidence is reasonably high. Flashing firmware/software/can-bus/config files/macros...

    RPi problem

Ok, so I went back and recreated a new Pi image, ensuring I selected correct locale, GB GMT, installed it onto the Pi and same problem with '~'. Ran sudo raspi-config, selected Logitech wireless keyboard (though there were about 6 options), checked correct UK keyboard layout still same; all the...

    RPi problem

I couldn't tell you, I've simple followed the instructions on the above link using Raspberry OS lite 64-bit image, installation appeared to go ok but I don't have a GUI only the command line so wouldn't know how to check. Pretty sure I chose UK keyboard when creating the image, my try redoing...

    RPi problem

Apologies as this isn't directly Voron related, only I don't know where else to ask; whilst waiting for my 2.4 kit to arrive, I've bought a RPi 4B 2GB and am trying to install KIAHU on it. I've got to the stage of running the command cd ~ && git clone https://github.com/dw-0/kiauh.git but the...

The voron2.4 kit I bought recently seems to be quite interesting.

Hi, I've just ordered a FYSETC kit with the CNC alloy ugrades, was wondering about your experience with them?

    Question Noob Questions

Thanks for that, I've now ordered a 2.4 kit from Aliexpress with the alloy CNC parts, will decide as I build it whether to use the alloy or print plastic parts for certain applications.
