alie express????

The link tells me the page cannot be found.

I don't know if I would go with a "budget kit" if that was what the link was. I recommend getting well known good kits.

The V0 is a fun build. The one major upgrade I would suggest right from the start is a metal tool carriage. Like this, https://www.fabreeko.com/collection...tal-toolhead-carriage-for-v0-2-by-honeybadger

And do not mess with any bed probes. So many people this this is "upgrade" but the bed is so small its not worth it. Once you are level its probably good for a long time or forever ;)

Yes this link turned out to be a total clone in all respects. I am now also looking at Formbot. I heard good feedback and "its okay" things about them. The form bot uses moons motors, all stainless steel rails, cast alu bed, Kirigami bed support, umbilical harness completed, magnetic PEI sheet, proper gates belts and a silicone heat pad. It claims 300 degrees hotend all metal titanium alloy and a bed heater up to 110 degrees. They state extruder is according to the upgraded BMG style, that means it is a clone of course. But that is already better than I got with my V2.4 at first.
They do have a good feedback in general. I am aware of the premium sellers but their prices are quite stiff and I am sure you will still replace things. Also Formbots ships from within EU and if I get something this price range from either the USA or from GB, our customs are going to have a field day with me.
With regards to the bed probes I think you are totally correct. Such a small bed with good fittings will simply stay put unless you have a mayor hickup and crash into it or jam some fallen print under the toolhead. Still not decided overall but really leaning towards needing a second printer for support. And it is so small it sits on your desk and you will simply loose it. Big plus for me is that even so small it does all the difficult materials out of the box.
What do you think of Formbot?

Yeah, I think they will do just fine for a base setup.

I took my V0 apart a while back, then some life events happened and it has been sitting in pieces for over a year now. I need to get it put back together.

Life always gets in the way of hobbies and pleasures. I hope things sorted themselves out by now and you can get back to doing zero things again.
