I like Mobileraker but it only works when you are at home in your own home network. So I found Wireguard vpn which allows you to create your own personal tunnel into your home network so you can connect to your pi with mobileraker. Basically your Mainsail for on the go, brilliant for monitoring your print when you are at work for instance.
I tried other options such as octoeverywhere and obico, but they all have their problems and you need to be subscribed to their service to make use of it. In the end I ditched them because of problems they could not resolve and I did not see the point to continue with them.
Now I have my personal tunnel when I want and I can see my printer at home, the webcam is visible and all my settings are at hand right on my phone.
Has anybody else tried Wireguard? And what did you think of it. No I am not getting paid for this I guarantee you, I simply liked it so much I think others with a Voron might like it too.
I am in no way an expert but if somebody gets stuck I am willing to share my experience and see if we can solve the problems. You need to be ok with linux and its terminal and you must be able to hss into your pi from a laptop or pc. You also need access to your router and be able to login as admin. This procedure is not possible if you do not have admin access to your own router.
I am interested to see how many of you guys and girls have tried this?
