Solved How to change the Ascend/Descend speed of bed mesh calibrate?

Laserbea4k43

Well-known member
How do change the Ascend/Descend speed of bed mesh calibrate when the toolhead has reached or is leaving the probe points?
Can I descend at a certain speed until it's reached a certain height before probing?
I'm using adaptive_bed_mesh.

I know why you want that but I think a better solution is to make sure and do the move at a lower height.
What I mean is if you have it raise to say 15mm above 0, make it 8mm.

Good advice, just need to know how to do that lol
I see. Under QGL in the printer config you will see something like,

Speed: 200000
horizontal_move_z: 10
retry_tolerance: 000000000000001
Max_adjust: 10

Don't use this config ^ but it should be there you can make your adjustment. Make sure and give yourself a little extra in case you heat the bed and it warps a little.

Just got home, I use TAP so this is fine for me but if you use Klicky try and get it 1 or 2 mm above the bed.

speed: 400
horizontal_move_z: 1
retries: 5
retry_tolerance: 0.0075
max_adjust: 10

I'm using Tap now also.
That does make sense, just limit how much movement there is on Z.
I wasn't sure exactly what horizontal_move_z did, even after reading the docs.
Thanks!
