Losing connection with nitehawk-36

stogs

New member
I have a pi5 and leviathan using the nitehawk-36 with the x/y steppers hooked up to a 48V supply on my 2.4. This is a new config for me just getting it all back together. Whenever I try to buzz stepper x or y it will move them a few times then klipper will stop with an error saying it has lost communication with the nite hawk. Buzzing the z steppers works fine. The log is not helpful, just says it lost connection. Anyone see anything like this? I switched out the cable to the nitehawk and the cables to the stepper motors, tried different usb ports on the pi, same results. Any help would be appreciated. This is the newest revision of the nitehawk-36.

I must have had a loose connection or something. I went back and re-secured all the connections to the power supplies, the nitehawk, and motors and I have not had the problem re-occur.
