When working with T-slot profiles (I have done that for over 40 years), especially the small 1515 and 2020 ones, the nuts can drive you mad.
So I developed a special tool made from a yellow cable tie. Other colours may work too, I never tried. The tool will position the nut
perpendicular and in any position of the profile. Even vertical. The pics speak for themselves.
