Took advantage of the ADXL on the NiteHawk and prettied my machine up to run tests.
Got some nice advice in the discord, but I figured feedback would be easier to track and reference in the future on the forums.
  • I ran my tests cold.
  • AB belts measured with GT2 Belt Tension Meter @ 2.1
  • Ran once on my wobbly table, made with 10-series extrusions and a top and bottom platform made of wood from the hardware store
  • Ran second test on the floor
Floor seemed to be less stable than the table...

Images too large to upload. You can view here.

Also, What do I do with this information?

Tested on Table

Only reason to run on the floor is to see how the graphs turn out but the important data is going to be where the printer will sit. What to do with the data is add it to your config like this,

This is mine, so add your values to it and place it in your printer.cfg

[input_shaper]
shaper_freq_x: 85.5 # center frequency for the X axis filter
shaper_type_x: 2hump_ei # filter type for the X axis
shaper_freq_y: 76.6 # center frequency for the Y axis filter
shaper_type_y: 2hump_ei # filter type for the Y axis
damping_ratio_x: 0.052 # damping ratio for the X axis
damping_ratio_y: 0.90 # damping ratio for the Y axis

Also I would do a Voron test cube, 3 walls, 0 infill and 0 top, run a before and after to see how it looks.

Keep in mind the graphs have a recommendation, so you can try the other values to see if it can print faster or nicer. For example your Y recommends EI but what to look at is the vbir and %.
If one is 1.6% with a 2000 accel and the other is 4% but at 20K accell you bet I am picking the 20K one. Hope that makes sense. If not I can help dive deeper but there is so much information regarding Input shaper. The one thing I can't stress enough it do a print to see if you are happy with the results.

Can you also get a pic of the front of the printer and maybe 1 or 2 of the toolhead? This can help troubleshoot any excess vibrations.

Noted!
I'll report back when I have a chance to test. Went further down the mod-hole and found a new can of worms I'll have to deal with first.
