I understand... watching the videos available and reading what I've been able to find, it looks like their trying to line up part and component suppliers in concert with the release. ThanksStatus is: Soon™, but because you asked it'll be delayed two weeks.
In all seriousness, it will be released when it is done. That's RCF modus operandi, so you need to be patient.
That's part of it. Nero said on a recent stream that they were still nailing down quite a few items needed for release, Final BOM being one of them. (CAD and Manual being the other notable items.)I understand... watching the videos available and reading what I've been able to find, it looks like their trying to line up part and component suppliers in concert with the release. Some people of the dev team has had some pretty rough time due to Real Life Problems™, plusAny updates on pheonix?? Waiting at the edge of my seat
long lead times, some parts got delayed months, but there's progress
RatRig is the closest, right now. And with the "hybrid" X might be worth it? Sadly I got the 3.1, before the 4 came out, so I'm missing the super-speed on that.I have been wanting 600mm+ for years.
Ratrig is a great option but I agree, they should bump up extrusion size at 400+RatRig is the closest, right now. And with the "hybrid" X might be worth it? Sadly I got the 3.1, before the 4 came out, so I'm missing the super-speed on that.
Though, the customizer at the mothership let's you customize the whole thing to whatever size you would like, it sadly doesn't take into account the added rigidity required and doesn't bump you up to 3030 extrusions like I'd expect.
And here we are a year later...Status is: Soon™, but because you asked it'll be delayed two weeks.

I can assure you that it is being worked on, people are testing builds, and RCF wants to release it as soon as his time permits. And here we are a year later...I hope that the team will commit to a rough eta sometime in 2025. I would at least like to know it is still being developed and they still plan on releasing it at some point.
You have to decide that based on needs and wants. So Ratrig or will it be worth waiting for Phoenix?
I especially want the larger bed. I have time, I want qualityYou have to decide that based on needs and wants.
Ratrig's a safe bet,but if you can wait, Phoenix might offer something cooler. Totally up to how patient you areSo Ratrig or will it be worth waiting for Phoenix?
VORON is an Open Source project based on voluntaries to make it work. People doesn't make a living here, so they contribute when possible, it just so happen that a lot of people got really occupied in the last few months. Add to that other factors like postal delays and things are in the way they are now. You got to be patient. So this post alone is over a year old, and still no "official" word on this project. There is a growing number of people that need larger printers, mostly for idex, multiple print head use due to space. Great to see a mod in here, but can we get ANY more info? There's literally been NO informational releases on this project outside of the printer festival appearances. None of us WANT to buy a ratrig, or anything else, but I want to know when we can expect to get our hands on this thing already. 2025? 2026? I can't believe it's truly, "unknown" considering they exist. It certainly isn't "soon" because everyone in discord has been saying that for over a year, and longer than a year is not "soon".
RCF said it was going to release last YEAR. I don't understand why everyone gets so bent out of shape when LITERALLY, ALL people are asking for, is AN update. Not the release date, just. "Hey, this is official, we're still working on this, it still exists, here's where we are at. Waiting on parts, we've got about 20 pages left of the manual, Hoping by summer." THE END. But no one wants to appease the community. I'm sorry, Soon TM isn't acceptable. I love the Voron project and everything RCF has done, but I'm not drinking that kool-aid. 2 min announcement pin on discord from ANY member that RCF approves to post updates isn't a big ask.VORON is an Open Source project based on voluntaries to make it work.
