Voron 2.4 Laser

Hello,

I completed a Mod of the Voron 2.4 as a Laser Cutter / Engraver. I decided to make some changes:

• Gantry is fixed to the frame.
• Used a single Z-Axis attached to the X Axis
• Used a BTT SKR-Pico Board
• with grblHAL in favor to Klipper
• Use LightBurn as the engraver software
  No it is not free - but it worked right out of the box
• Used a sliding door
• Sides are mostly covered by 8mm MDM
• Front is build out of orange acryl
  

If you should be interested, please let me know, than I provide the details. Since I am using a Laser Tree 10 W 455 nanometer Laser. I successfully cuttet 3mm Plywood.

Front is build out of orange acryl

Have you tested if that acrylic is really safe for usage with lasers? AFAIK unless you have sourced it from a manufacturer that explicitly guarantees it is safe for a certain wavelength range, acrylic is to be considered transparent for laser.

We already have cases of people around here and the Discord server losing their sight partially due to laser shenanigans, please be careful to not become the second case.
