Voron 2.4 SB2209(rp2040) ,Btt oct , U2c bridge configuration?

You have a couple of choices.
The Toolhead PCB needs to talk to a CAN Bridge/adaptor.
In your case, this could be either the Octopus, in CAN bridge mode, or the U2C.
I would have a read of this guide - https://canbus.esoterical.online/Getting_Started.html and see which method appeals to you.

Thanks for the info on this, after reading esoterical, I finally got my SB2209 to go to DFU mode.
Additional question though: does it make any difference how you connect your U2c, RPi and Octopus? I'm guessing since they are connected by USB they should talk to each other, or am I not understanding something? currently, I have the pi hooked up to the U2c and the U2c hooked to the Octopus. I'm waiting on a replacement part for the 2209, so I haven't thrown it all together yet.

No chaining. Each usb device (so u2c and octopus I imagine) should be independently connected back to the pi
