    V0... Umbilical issues???

Glad you got it sorted. In the end i got tired of this as i needed to do it every now and then. Further research found that the umbilicals are shorter than spec (probably down to cost saving) by about 10-20mm. I went full bore and got crimps and connectors and made up my own umbilical in the end...

Need advice on most recent V0.2 build options and upgrades

What do you consider high speed printing? 120 - 150mm/s is quite common with the V0 but you get good acceleration values (15-20k) and this is where the time saving really comes in. if you want to go faster you can but its not cheap as you will start to wander from the standard set up. but from...

What features would you like to see in 0.3?

Look no further, you can have a look here. (sorry couldn't upload them directly as they are too big apparently) https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/x7kkzi4wd0krp01dtnohk/h?rlkey=2u2tmtsy3y8skoea3v2pz2txy&dl=0 to give a brief idea of what i did... What features would you like to see in 0.3?

I have to say that the bed for me personally is spot on, only had to level it once as others have said and have had zero issues with it. So I'd be in the category of bed springs = yes, ABL probe = no. The top hat is much improved with the v0.2 variants but the cabling to the hotend still has...

    Question Umbilical replacement options?

I just posted a similar thred before seeing this. i too have this issue but mine i think stems from the connector crimps not making contact properly with the main pcb i might try something like a high flex 14 core cable to see if it improves the reliability currently I'm getting 100 hours or...

    V0... Umbilical issues???

So I've been running my V0.2 for quite a while now (258 hours) and it runs like a champ, I even updated to the R1 version and is one of my go to printers. but i have been having issues with the umbilical on intervals... it seems to have issues with continuity on the plug and the main pcb (frame...

    Solved Y better than X????

Unfortunately I don't seem to have a before picture of that area, but I have got a pic of what I did to mitigate what was happening on my machine. I have 1 layer between the motor blocks and the printed plate and 2 layers between the printed plate and the pcb of the umbilical. Before it...

    Solved Y better than X????

after many hours pouring over the frame, gantry, rebuilding my tool head etc I can say I have tracked down the root cause of the strange resonances. here is a before and after shot of my adxl345 results. drum roll please.... it was the umbilical pcb and printed part fixed to the two motor...

    Solved Y better than X????

thanx for your replay, i know this one might be tricky to improve on. i have tried mounting it on both the back of the strain relief and the tool head itself and both produced almost identical results. i used the same mount to do my dads v0.1 and he got some really nice results (18k for X and...
