Solved Accidentally pulled the PEI sheet off the build plate

Has this happened to anyone before? Bought a new build plate and while taking off the protective plastic on the smooth side I pulled the entire pei sheet off the corner.

Maybe the biggest lapse in judgement...

Why, yes. This has happened to me. This past summer building my Trident I did this exact thing. Pulled up the corner of the actual PEI and then it wouldn't lay flat. I eventually removed the entire layer of PEI and have it as a bare steel print sheet. Also, I bought a replacement since the PEI is much more useful to me.

I was totally ignorant at that time of how the PEI sheet was constructed, and the instructions did say to "remove the clear film...".

haha, yeah. Great learning moments! I ended up replacing mine with another 2-sided one from west3d. Really like it so far, though the color doesn't quite go with my build.

Eh, future plans lol.

Also thinking I might try a g10 plate as well.
