Hi,
So I got and installed the Titanium backers on my v2.4, but only on the 2 Y-axis.
I was told it's not needed on an X-axis bar with MGN12?
I haven't been able to QGL at all since I installed them. Wondering if my current setup has something to do with that...
Should I really not use the X backer?

I'm gonna derack while I wait for a reply. Hopefully that helps.

Update:
De-racked and successfully ran a QGL(cold) on my first try.
I have this weird problem with Hartk's GE5C mod for the Z joints. 3 of 4 screws will fit, the last will never fully seat. It's happened on z1 and 2.
I took one of the M5x20s and cut it down to ~17mm and I can get it in completely.

Please let me know your thoughts on keeping the X backer uninstalled.

Which lower belt clamps did you use...the ge5c mod uses thinner clamps and a lot of people forget to use them ...they should help with that if you used stock ones

Hey there.
I did use the ones that come with your mod. They are more thin than the ones on the top of my z-joints.

Ok do you have a picture and did you use the m5 washer/shim on top?
was having problems, so I took all of the washers off. If you really recommend I use them, I will put them back on.
I need to re-bolt anyway, because I didn't do it while the gantry was hot.
-edit-
My washers are only flat on one side. Will that cause a problem? They do measure at about .9mm thick.

The washers are what take up the extra space and if you removed them it's why you had to cut the bolt down..you should put them back 👍🏼

Yeah I started to see that after I replied to you :ROFLMAO:. Thanks for clarifying :)
I’ll put them back before I heat up and tighten tomorrow.
