Manta Board and EBB2209 connection

I am building a voron and i am using these two as my main board and CAN interface with the extruder, respectively, but i have realized that my board is the 1.0 version, not the v1.1 which has specific pins for the can interface. I was wondering if it is still possible for me to connect them or do i have to buy aditional hardware?

Hello! Yes it looks like the manta 8p v1.0 does not have canbus onboard. You need an u2c or utoc as adapter for your pi (or pi replacement-> cb1) so it can understand canbus. Imagine like a usb network dongle but for canbus.
