MiniSB: Jamming between extruder drive and Revo.

New build of LDO Voron 0.2 with Revo hotend.

I can't seem to get filament into the short length of PTFE between the gears and the top of the hotend. The distance that it will go in points to the beginning of that tube.

I cut the tube to the required 6mm using the supplied jig. I measured the protrusion after cutting--6mm, and also measured it after the jamming--still 6mm.

I chamfered the ID of the top of the tubing a bit. No joy.

I did notice that the 6mm protrusion isn't enough for the tubing to be flush with the top of the hole it's inserted in in the extruder body. This seems odd to me. I'd expect the tube to be up as close to the extruder gears as possible, perhaps even shaped around that point. I'm thinking about making that tube a millimeter or so longer, and checking the clearance then.

I'm posting because I'm probably wrong. Googling didn't find anyone else encountering this problem, and the instructions for the Voron 0 are well-written and accurate. Advice?

This just in:

The toolhead is removed from the frame, the motor removed but otherwise intact. A short length of tubing is inserted in the top. The Revo is completely assembled and installed in the toolhead.

I can insert filament deeply enough to prove it's getting well into the Revo nozzle's tube. That sure sounds like all's well. Slight catching during insertion, and that's reduced by cutting the filament tip at a sharp angle.

I'll put it all back together now & see what I get.

Maybe I should be posting in the Build Log rather than Technical Questions. 😏
