So exactly what does "If it doesn’t fit together well" mean? The two pieces I printed fit extremely snug to the point that I can not pull them apart without the aid of a pry tool. Should these parts fit looser?

If they are snug and completely fit together they are just fine. If they require a vise to press them together then the parts are overextruded.
