Why do we home a V2.4 between QGL and bedmesh cycle?

I am looking at my machine and constantly think it does not need to home again after the QGL, because the home in the X,Y plane does not change at all due to the levelling in Z. In both cases, with switches or with sensorless, this corner position is virtually unaffected by the levelling. Even if it is a few micron to 1 mm off, it absolutely makes no difference imho.

What do others think?

You dont need to home XY after a QGL. You do need to home Z after a QGL as the rotation of the gantry will change the Z position. Usual routine I see is: G28, QGL, G28 Z, Bed Mesh, purge, print.

Exactly, and in my case after bedmesh it does a nozzletap before the hotend heat and purge, because I use a cartographer.
I think I will revise the whole start sequence as to minimize the moves as well.
