Dual monitor question for 2.4 with pi 3B

I have a 2.4 with an 25" monitor plugged into the HDMI port on the pi and a Waveshare 4.3 connected with the 15 pin cable to the pi. Big monitor is easier to see but I'd like to use the touchscreen.

The monitor displays the full normal screen and the waveshare just the top left portion. Is it possible to get the Waveshare to display the full screen without unplugging the monitor and having the Waveshare the sole display?

Thanks!

Let me understand your setup: you are mirroring on both monitors the same content?

EDIT: I'm asking because Linux isn't exactly very good at mirroring content on monitors with different resolutions without some manual configuration. I don't know what is the resolution on your 25" monitor, but the Waveshare one is 800x480. You will need to play with xrandr, namely the scale option, as seen here and here.

Unpluged the monitor and the Waveshare is fine. I'll just live with it alone though i like having the bigger to look at from a distance and only poke the little when I need to do something.
